With the threat of terror felt keenly around the world, Islam has come under scrutiny because of its unfortunate association with radical groups. In Singapore, madrasahs or Muslim religious schools, are eager to dispel these associations. They teach a combination of religious and secular classes, preparing their students to practice the peaceful teachings of Islam. Miro Lu finds out how madrasah graduates can make a difference in promoting positive knowledge and perceptions of Islam, and how madrasahs have proven their positive impact in the fight against extremism.

Lebanon rappers fight extremism


Around the world, more and more artists are emerging to combat extremism. In Beirut a popular rapper named Chyno is spearheading a project to tackle radicalization in the region. He and other well-known artists across Lebanon are producing an album on the threat of terrorism in the region, even working with clinical physiologists to make sure they are sending out their message in the best way possible. Natalie Carney explained why individuals would want to join extremist groups and how Chyno's music is helping change their minds.
